The Kingdom of God!

Chapter 36

.

Psalm 37:10-40 says,

" A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming."

" The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken. Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

" The blameless spend their days under the LORD's care, and their inheritance will endure forever.

" In times of disaster, they will not wither; in days of famine, they will enjoy plenty.

" But the wicked will perish: Though the LORD's enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke. The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously; those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed.

" The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

" I was young and now I am old , yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing. Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.

" The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever. The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.

" The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip. The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, intent on putting them to death; but the LORD will not leave them in the power of the wicked or let them be condemned when brought to trial.

" Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourishing like a luxuriant native tree, but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found.

" Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace. But all sinners will be destroyed; there will be no future for the wicked. The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him."

This Psalm, written by King David, should be an encouragement to all of us because of the times we are living in. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; the wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming."

This day is rapidly approaching! However, the carnal mind cannot discern the signs of the time. While the world is rejoicing and sinking deeper and deeper into the desires of the flesh and the cunning craftiness of mankind, the Church of the living God is being awaken and shook out of her slumber. The remnant of the Lord's people throughout the world are active in the greatest spiritual warfare the world has ever experienced!

We are living in a time that Joel described as the great and terrible day of the Lord! Joel 2:1-3,

"Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come. Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste, nothing escapes them."

Darkness is rising upon our nation as the satanic forces have gathered to destroy this great nation of the United States. The evil is eating away at the very fabric this country was founded upon by the Lord as a direct answer to the promise that He gave to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Joseph's two sons. Satan, once again, has unknowingly set a trap for himself. He thinks that he has won and has got our nation on a downhill path to total destruction. He has all of his ducks set up in a row. He has big business, big tech, the movie industry, the media, and the Democratic Party which is being led by the leftist movement, all lined up.

He is so far advanced that he no longer hides in the shadows, but is now out in the open parading his agenda. For now, he has his puppet in the White House and is boldly attempting to destroy our freedom, one executive order after another one. He never learns!

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah has begun to roar and all the world is seeing His movements throughout nature. Signs are happening throughout the world. Snow in the deep south, higher than normal winds, heavy rains, earthquakes in divers' places and volcanoes erupting that have laid dormant for over a thousand years! Jesus said that these things would happen in the last days but the end is not yet!

This is not the end when Jesus comes back to the earth to reign for a thousand years! Jesus said in Matt. 24:6-8,

" You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers' places All these are the beginning of sorrows."

The darker this world gets, the brighter the light of the Church will be seen. The Lord told Joel in Joel 2:25-32,

"I will repay you for the years the locus has eaten, the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm, my great army that I sent among you.You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed."

"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls."

I have shared with you before that we have entered a new age. The age that we grew up in has passed and behold all things are becoming new! Paul spoke of this happening in Eph. 2:4-7, (NIV)

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions, it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus , in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."

It is one thing to believe that we are seated with Jesus in the heavenly realms, however, it is an entirely different matter to be bold and declare what the Word of God declares. How many times did Jesus asked His disciples this question? "Why didn't you do something about the situation?" How many times have you heard your pastor take authority over demonic activity? How many times have you seen the elders of your church anoint someone with oil and lay hands on them to be healed? How many times have you ever attended a healing service in your church? Have you ever heard someone speak in tongues in your church?

Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18,

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Jesus asked his disciples, "Why don't you feed the five thousand?" Why don't you still the winds?" "Why didn't you cast the demon out?"

You may say, "Well, I was told that those displays of the Holy Spirit ceased when the last Apostle died!"

Did you read what Jesus said in John 14:12,

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

In Luke 10:8 Jesus sent seventy-two of His disciples into the cities of Israel and told them to do this,

"And into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, "The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."

The disciples returned in verse 17 and told Jesus, (NIV)

"The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."

There is no way you will ever be able to be the overcomer that Jesus talked about in the book of Revelation Chapters 2 & 3 without being baptized in His Holy Spirit! Jesus would not allow the disciples, that had been with Him through all His three years of ministry, try to evangelize the world until they were endued with power from on high. (Acts 1:4)

Jesus said in Rev. 12:9-11,

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Jesus did not allow His disciples to attempt to carry out His commission for them until they were empowered with the Holy Ghost! Jesus doesn't expect us to do that either without being filled with the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit is the power of the God-Head! He is our teacher to reveal the will of the Lord to us and to lead us in paths of righteousness.
